After watching the Bigger Picture announcement, will you jump to purchase the M2 Zoom/Pro or stay with the Mavic Pro/Air?

The mavic pro 2 looks great to me but i will stick with my alpine white pro for a little longer then upgrade in a year or so

Pretty impressed with the camera and i bet the quality is 10 times better than the mavic pro.

Also not a bad price, i was expecting it to be alot more expensive

I feel you.. I am tempted but when winter comes, the M2 will spend a lot of time on the shelf here in Chicagoland.. I'm planning for a spring upgrade unless I am surprised for my birthday LOL

I am positively surprised as well which will make it easier to go for the Pro :-)

It definitely is huge progress in many regards plus the Hyperlapse as an unexpected extra.

Not sure  Will the FPV goggles work + no upgrade deal for the UK ?

I'm really impressed.  I think they did a great job, and my biggest concern (size) seems to be no big deal as it is only slightly bigger than the current Pro.  

That said, I'm not immediately going to buy one, because I'm having lots of fun with the Air. Other than size (and price) the 2 seems to be the way to go, so when it is time for replacement we'll see where I am.

Great job DJI.

That was kind of odd not to include everyone in the upgrade program --squeaky wheel gets the oil....

I am a bit disappointed after watching the release. In fact, I think everything was a bit boring - maybe because we already knew most details. No doubt these new drones and cameras are great tools though.

But I missed live demo of propeller noise, compared to an MP and the MPP, and I missed information about RC. It seemed like the used RC was the same as for MP / MPP, but I assume it to be different with the new Ocusync 2.0 - not a word about it though.

I will wait and see how good is that Hasselblad camera before I buy it. Let others field test in and show me some real time  raw footage and photos. I bet it won't that much better than what we have now.

Of cause - I know that. But they could have touched the subject at least. I'm disappointed about the release program content - not the drones.

The selling point for me were the new features and added obstacle avoidance sensors.  When I got the MP coming from a P3S, I always thought the MP was the perfect drone for me except for the fact that it didn't have the back sensors and the added features that the Mavic Air has.  M2 checks all the boxes for me

These are sponsored reviews and I do prefer more honest ones done by ordinary folks who actually pay for drones themselves and/or don't get it up front and are tied with DJI NDAs which have clauses about forbidding to talk critically towards DJI drones, company, etc...

For sure, but I'm just talking about the information you will get from the videos that we did not get from the announcement.  We can get the info and make our own judgments is what I was getting at.

I have the P4Pro and ordered the M2Pro.. honestly I don't see the point of the phantom anymore. The mavic now has a competing camera (maybe even better), longer flighttime, flies as fast, flies as far and is much smaller and portable.

There is even more unexpected in it. A first review that I have watched right now suggests that Waypoints 2.0 has more or less the features of Ground Station incorporated. Thus you don't need to fly the flightpath beforehand to set the waypoints. You can do it before through software including Quickshots or Gimbal movements etc.

I missed a lot of the presentation!!  It all kickass!

I think the Dji Mavic air owners, should upgrade their drone to Dji Mavic 2 Pro or Mavic 2 Zoom
How about the Dji Phantom 5?

No, considering the issues that DJI is having with support with Android and video lag, I am in wait and see mode. Mavic Pro is still a great Drone.

I agree... Phantoms are nice but the portability gives the Mavic fleet the edge

I agree, I love my Obsidian but the only thing it does better perhaps now is 4K@60.  I'm so torn.  Just sitting here staring at paypal screen.

One potentially huge issue i can see:-

Why can't the Mavic 2's gimbal shoot vertically as the Mavic Pro does?
The Mavic 2's gimbal structure is optimized for increased stiffness, meaning that the camera is unable to rotate the full 90° needed to shoot vertically. However, you can choose the Vertical Mode in Panorama to get a stitched vertical photo.

So no vertical mode for photos.  Which wipes out a huge number of panorama options for people.  Thats one major step backwards not having a camera that flips.

Well the proper choice isn't here for me. It is not a game changer, in my opinion, but I purchased anyway. I've been waiting since before the mavic air, and have been debating on getting the phantom 4 pro. But this does "most" things the phantom does and many it does not. I'm just disappointed in the no 4k 60 frame. But with that said . I purchased within the first ten minutes of the event. It say's it has already shipped. Next I guess I'll wait for the inspire "3"

Perhaps its good I have a Note 9 now with 8G ram.

As much as my devices in both iOS and Android fought the Go4 app messes, I may just wait until they decide they need a seperate app for Mavics.

I'm still on the fence with a purchase. My Mavic Air is serving me fine right now, not to mention my wife has expressly forbid me from purchasing another drone after getting the Spark last Christmas only to upgrade to the Mavic Air two months later . The effects you can get off the Zoom version do look really cool, but if I were to purchase one, I would probably go for the Pro. That 20MP 1" sensor camera dwarfs what is on the Zoom. The hyperlapse, 31 minute flight time, and Occusync 2.0 are all tempting sells.... Anyone want to buy my Spark and/or Mavic Air???

I'm pretty impressed as well.  I'll likely end up with one, but it won't be immediate.  

It's a really good price as well.  Maybe will get that as a 'passed the 107' gift for myself.

This review goes into the changes To the RC. What I wanna know Is does it have a Global shutter, or a Rolling shutter?

I see no reason to upgrade, until my MPP can no longer fly.

I wonder how much better the stills photos are on the Pro vs P4P, i hope its what ive been waiting years for.
Only thing i wanted in the same package was dolly zoom and 4k60p
