They work great on the P2 and perhaps to some degree on the P3 - but you can't make them too big or they will be over the VPS (or turn VPS off, which is what I did).

Here's a $12.50 model which does the job as well or better - and/or make your own out of various materials.

I went with the carbon fiber one. I believe it will be lighter and stronger. Both are a point I am willing to pay more for.

Sorry. Carbon Fiber blocks both the transmitted RF signal and the incoming GPS signals. Plastic or fiberglass is best. Be careful.

Working in the aerospace industry for well over 15 years I am well aware of how carbon fiber effects RF.  So does aluminum... Just how the carbon fiber crash guard on the bottom of the craft will effect  GPS or the 4 antennas in the landing leg is beyond me. Can you enlighten me on this? The GPS antenna is on top and looking up and the 4 antennas in the landing legs would also be effected by the gimbal. I won't go into the tiny waveform of 2.4 Ghz with it's side scatter and all...
