Ronin-S, firmware up to date, fully charged. On it is a GH5S/Smallrig Cage/Metabones Ultra/Sigma 18-35. While this is not a small setup by any means, it is not at the max of this system. The balance shows excellent in the app, and a manual balance check shows it looks good as well. The system is calibrated, and at factory settings.


The problem is when it is on a desk, at rest on the tripod legs, it will sometimes exhibit a very slight oscillation. Usually this is in the tilt axis, but I have seen it in pan. It is small, but definitely visible to the naked eye if you look closely. It is very visible in footage. There is no noise to it, and it is not a vibration like a bad, bound or overloaded motor... it just "sways" a very small amount. Often it will dampen down but not always.


Anyone else seeing this? Maybe just tune the motor params to be a little less touchy?

Hi Ken, please tilt the device 45° to the left or right, then check if the Power value of the motors is in the range of +/-5. If not, the device is not balanced properly.
If the device is well balanced, please try to adjust the Filter and Control and let us know if the issue persists.
