Hello every one, I just got my OTG cable and tried it with my remote. Using Android tablet.
The spark took off and was bouncing up and down. One time it landed and stopped because of tall grass. The tablet is a alcatel A30.
Any idea what I'm what I'm doing wrong ?

Was it bouncing up and down on your mobile device screen or in the air as it was flying?

Try to use the key combination to take off not the auto takeoff from the app.

I used the remote to take off, the blue tooth and wifi where turned off also.
It was bouncing up and down while flying.

Were you flying outside during the day in an area that was well lit? Are you able to reproduce this issue?

I will try again tomorrow,  it was scary seeing it bounce like that.

It could be the Tablet you are using, it is not the recommended devices DJI recommends?

Bouncing while flying? well that was strange have you contacted dji support? btw welcome to the forum

Are you on the latest firmware with both Spark and remote control?
If yes then downgrade to previous one as this issue has been reported several times on the latest firmware.
I also had the same issue and after downgrading the issue is gone.
And keep in mind to Refresh the spark after downgrading with Dji assisstant on your computer.

Its a glitch that some sparks now are experiencing.
Mine was also jumping up and down upon takeoff in low altitude, once it even went straight down at full speed.
Luckily it wasn’t high so no damage was done.
After updating the app to the latest 4.3.0 iOS the issue so far seems to be gone.

Tried using just my phone this morning,  wouldn't connect.  This is frustrating.  I wanted to enjoy flying a drone, not messing with it.
Any ideas please post

To connect it with phone directly, turn on the drone and when it’s completely boots up just press and hold the battery button fo 6 seconds.
After 3 seconds you will hear single beep sound, just keep holding for 3 more seconds then u will hear the beep sound twice.
Now connect the spark by looking wifi name in your phone settings.

Well after letting the wind die down , took the spark out a tried to fly using my phone . Everything worked like before. No bouncing or crashing . So now the problem must be my tablet or the RC .

Well not so happy again, took the spark out to fly and first time it didn't react to controls. Second time it started bouncing  up and down again.

Can you upload one of your flight logs here and post the link back here so we can check it out?

I will try and do that tomorrow morning. I don't have access to computer right now.

I'm sorry , tried to get flight logs. My G/F laptop with windows 10 will not let me get the flight logs.
I bought this drone to have fun not stress on all this technical stuff.
Going to call place I purchased it and see about a refund. This whole thing has been misleading to me.

Well after a pleasant call to DJI Customer service,  she sent me a link to help solve my problem.  Also said if no help might need to send it in for work.

Sorry I haven't posted my flight logs. We had to take the laptop to see the doctor for a checkup and clean out.
It was running slower than windows 95 on dialup.

You should contact DJI support and open a case, in the mean time keep it close.

Looks like my flight log for the day is going to be later next week.
The computer needs to go back , shop didn't get it done right.
