i tried upgradign the firmware from 0 to 1.5 which is the new one..but it says it failed to update and now my ronin doesnt work at all. i just bought it and dji is closed sat-sun. OMG..anyway to reset the firmware or do soemthign to wear it starts working again?

also it wont connect to the app

Hi madekp_, sorry for the late response. Just to verify, is there any error message when the update failed?
Please refer to the below tutorial video and try again to see whether it works. If no luck, please kindly offer the screenshot for better assistance, thanks in advance!

just screen shot that now.. i let the battery die and i am charging it now..turned it back on and still nothing..just staying there like a $700 dollar useless paper weight rock ;(

also my phone will connect to the ronin and disconnect right away

Just to verify, are you using Ronin S, right? If yes, I'm sorry that you are using the wrong DJI Assistant. Please kindly download the correct software and refer to the above video to check again: https://www.dji.com/ronin-s/info#downloads

I actually came across the same issue, accidentally downloaded the wrong assistant app and connected my Ronin S to it with the same results as above. However, Followed Susan's instructions downloaded the correct "DJI Pro Assistant For Ronin" and updated the Firmware, Everything seems to be working in good condition.

My Ronin S can connect the Canon 5DMark4 now and the record button works for Video.

I have the same issue but I use Dji Assistant for Ronin s version 2.0. It failed several times to update the new firmware and now I have the gimbal impossible to use.
I already send a email to DJI suppor. I'm very sad.

Same here. Update fails, and the gimbal is not working. BUT: You can downgrade to the version before, and it's working again!

For me, it took about ten retries of the upgrade. The Ronin Assist (latest version) always reported "update failed", but strangely it works now, and the version is up to date.
There is definitely an issue with the latest update...

I am also having an issue. I tried updating to the latest firmware using DJI Pro Assistant for Ronin v2. The update failed, gave me an error message and told me to restart the Ronin. I cannot restart the Ronin S. The 1, 2, and 3 lights and double flashing red. They will not stop unless I power off the battery. As soon as I power the battery back all three lights start flashing red in a double pattern. I need the Ronin S for a very important shoot today. What can I do to gain control of my Ronin S again?

I am truly disappointed with this product and brand. I was planing on purchasing the Mavic Pro 2 but that is not going to happen. I got the DJI Ronin S on September 10 2019 and on October 11, on my first day using it, the bluetooth stopped working on the middle of a shoot. I tried everything I could find on the internet, DJI support and forums but nothing worked. I called technical support and they said to hit the M button 6 times, then restart the unit. So I did, my Ronin went crazy rotating all around and got scraped, was lucky I didn't have nothing near it. The last step in the instructions from the support specialist was to refresh or install new updates, things just got worst, now I have a none working DJI Ronin S because it just won't update and again I went into the forums and the internet and every fix I tried did nothing. I bought my DJI Ronin S at BestBuy and my mistake was not purchasing their extended warranty so that I could get my money back and go with another brand. I will try again on Monday and see if I can get this sorted out and have my unit repaired or preferably replaced.

i have the same issue with my ronin sc, after fail to attempt to update, the gimbal just flashing red. did you found any fix?
