I just had my first flight on the new rev 1.1.0 and had the app stop twice in flight... Not fun!

I am running a Samsung note 8 android 4.2.2

Any ideas?

Also is I was to update my device what would you recomemnd?

same to me on Samsung Note 3...

So I take it it's an issue with the device....

I had this problem only since this weekend when I upgraded my Samsung galaxy tab s 8.4 to android 5.0.2

I had that problem also on my Galaxy S4. After going back to 1.0.10 from the app store it is OK again.

Is there any benefit using the new 1.1.0?

I liked the new way to navigate in the settings, it's quicker to go from one setting-page to another. Apart from that I don't remember big changes while flying (still missing the Zebra, still missing the number of GPS-satellites etc).

The big change is the Director-part of the new app, which i never used but made the app much bigger (1.0.10 is around 40MB, 1.1.0 arround 110MB).

I think I will go with an apple if I need a new tablet...

I am having the same problem with a Hudl.
I use my HTC One M8  today  and have not had an issue with that.
Could it just be a tablet issue?

I have been reading a lot of issues with the 1.1.9 firmware... I do not know if this is causing issues or not.

You may look at the Nvidia Shield Tablet. I have never had an issue with freezing.  This is a gaming tablet. Very fast. I went this route over the iPad
