We know that the P4P and P4A (and the new MP2) uses the Sony 1-inch sensor, same as in the Sony RX100 camera.
When I bought the Phantom 2 a few years ago, I wanted a better camera, so a clever dutch company called Dronexpert came up with a solution to mount the RX100 on the P2.
I have used this combo a lot, and it works really well. The camera can be tilted 90 degrees, and a monitor mounted on the remote shows me what the camera sees.
Triggering the shutter is also done on the remote, with a servo motor mounted on the camera. This servo controls a little lever that mechanically presses the shutter button. (The old RX100 does not have electronic shutter.) As photo 5 shows, stitched panoramas are no problem.
I now have the P4 Advanced +, but the image quality on my P2 is at least as good. The downside is the weight, the take-off weight is more than the P2 is supposed to carry, so I get a rather short flight time, 10-12 minutes.
