Hi everyone

Have been running Lightworks 14 for my editing and found that it  crashed with my PC so am looking for a good free video editing software for Windows. I ran a search and there are several but am looking for your input please. So far I found these that are well reviewed:

1. Lightworks
2. DaVinci Resolve
3. Hitfilm Express

Take a close look at the specs of your computer processing power.

Your issue may be there, as opposed to the software.  If you are trying to work with 4K video editing,  then you need a very good computer.

I agree with @rwynant V1. you need a good box just for the rendering alone. But if you are used to Adobe then I would suggest Lightworks

Thanks Guys. Am running it on an Aspire E15 laptop so that may very well be the issue.

Davinci Resolve for me

Brill software. It's hard to believe it's free!

I opted for Lightworks 14.5 finally. Am getting some good practice with it and getting used to it.

I use FCPX it’s pretty good $299 , but I hear da Vinci is pretty good, I have it downloaded but haven’t got around to it yet.
