Yes.  I wouldn't trust flying the Spark around with just my phone. I also get better range and more control.

I do and the only way to get a good fly out of the spark.

I don't even know why the worried about coding the ability to use the drone with out it.

I tried it once to see how it was.. pretty sure if i kept using it i would have flown into something for sure

I have the spark and phantom 4 pro, had remote from day one but more recently if just want quick family pic on hols or walking dogs much quicker and lighter with just phone and your not holding the remote in every picture

Remote is the way to go for me.
