can anyone tell me how my spark ended up in the Sea !! i was not far out couple hundred meters after doing a quick play on the beach , the screen was hard to see due to sunlight , i thought hey where sparky go look at the controller and it was saying press to cancel landing OMG , as i dont recall hitting that Tab !!

i have uploaded rar file with the flight log as i cannot make any sense from it ,

It happened to me once, I couldnt cancel landing, but I still could pull up the drone, every time that I released the controller it went down, I looked for a safe place to land, a couple of meters away, strange but i still had the control... Have you tried to raise the drone ? Or control was totally out?

Im sorry to hear that, try to open a case on dji support team explaining your loss with the data log at hand...  Hope they can give you the answer you are expecting!!!

I was able to download the rar file.
The CSV inside, which the OP has provided, has only the GPS coordinates and the battery state in it. Not very useful.

You can only upload your DJI GO TXT flight log. See these instructions if you're not sure where to find that file.

Alex yes I did  at least ten seconds when I was trying to figure out where sparky got to
Then I saw the screen with the X to cancel landing and thought O F#ck

I will have to source a 2 nd hand one
Could not bring myself to tell my wife I threw $859 Drone in the water
after all her cancer treatments
I don’t think would be easy to take

On the flight record video in the app I don’t see where I hit land
I’m sure I hit return to home
And when I heard the been beep sound I placed the controller in the back of the car so I could palm land to keep Spark off the sand
Lessons in life I suppose.

This has happened to me too - but only when the battery was very low!  I can't remember the actual amount, but let's say 5% or less.  It just wanted to land anytime I had the sticks at 0%.  I could still stop the landing if I tried to gain altitude and then could move horizontally to where I wanted to land.
Do you remember your battery levels?

Yes, the drone goes into auto landing at 10% or less battery.
You can still raise it up if you pull up on the left stick,
But when you release the stick, the drone lands again.
