Does anyone else get jittery video footage when recording in 4K30 and yawing their M2P?  I had this problem with my MP1 and I1 Zenmuse Z3 as well.

I'm on mobile and I can't tell if you are referring to M2P. I've seen the jitters on YouTube videos and I've commented on those videos and 8 haven't gotten a response.

Sorry I thought I tagged this post as Mavic 2 Pro.  Its weird when I play the video file on my computer its jittery and almost dizzying but as soon as i hit pause its crystal clear.

DJI Paladin see link below.  As you can see as the drone is yawing the video is very jittery (No smoothing between frames.  When you stop yawing video is crystal clear.  Please download and review.  Do not watch in the dropbox preview window as it could change compression.

I noticed this as well in some of my footage from last weekend, but I wasn't sure if it was just my perception.  Glad to hear someone else has found the same thing.

@DJI Paladin, do you (or anyone else) have any feedback on what we are seeing??  I have just looked at more footage from 2 days ago and again I am seeing stuttering / jittery panning movement.

Hmm not sure here. But I think it’s normal and supposed to be like that.
Hopefully I’m wrong and DJI will provide a fix for this “issue”
Not a big issue really, I mean you should see how the whole image tilts from side to side on a spark, (when going in sports mode)
It’s coz of the 2 axis gimbal. I don’t like it at all, to the extent that I’m thinking of selling the spark and buying a mavic air or Mavic Pro, which have 3 axis gimble
And don’t experience these image tilting rapidly issues.

Fly safe all

I hope someone that knows more than I can pop in here and clarify.........

But with the correct ND Flilter and correct frame rate the blurryness/jittery image during yaw movements should be nearly eliminated.

What shutter speed did you have on this shot?

The jitter while yawing is more than likely caused by recording 24fps vs 30fps.

If you shoot in 24fps, make sure your yaw movements are smooth.

Your right side is out of focus, did you noticed that on all your footage ?

If it was a result of the frame rate, then wouldn't it also be apparent on other gimbal moves such as panning up and down (So far I have only noticed it with yawing)??

First, it is a common to get the jitter effect you see in your video when yawing, especially when yawing aggressively.  It doesn't usually appear when pitching the camera vertically, or at least very little, primarily because it is hard to move the camera so aggressively on the vertical axis.  It is a combination of framerate, shutter speed, & yawing quickly.  It will be more pronounced when recording at 24 fps vs 30 fps.  If you go to 60 fps (unfortunately we can't on an M2 in 4K) it would pretty much disappear completely.  If you drop to 1080, all other settings being identical, you'll likely see the exact same issue.

First, use a combination of aperture and/or ND filters to get your shutter speed down to no more than twice your frame rate (1/60th or less for 30 fps).  Second you need to yaw much more smoothly that you are doing in your video.

I just notice this jitter effect mostly when shooting in 24fps and yawing too quick. I also noticed this issue when shooting at 24fps using DSLR on my Ronin-S or Ronin-M. The issue is not that noticeable at 30fps.

I don't get this issue on my Mavic 2 Pro at 4K and 30fps. If I shoot in 24fps, I make sure make sure I yaw slowly but surely. Or adjust your yaw settings for a more cinematic shot.

There is something not correct with that video. This is supposed to be Mavic 2 footage. So why does it use H.265 and only has 8 Bit?
