Why DJI put such a distorted lens on the Pro baffles. The lens should be relatively distortion free at this price point.

Unfortunately it's a certainty when using a larger sensor in a small package.  Only way to project a sharp image circle on to the whole sensor.  A smaller sensor would not have as much distortion.  Also, they could have corrected it in the optics, but not in such a small size.

Even DJI has to follow the laws of physics.

Same reason Canon, Sigma, Sony and others have distorted lenses costing 2-3x what a M2 does.
