If I create a Litichi mission on my laptop at home and then open it on my iPad mini when I'm ready to fly,  how close do I have to be to the first waypoint location?

It's recommended that the first and last waypoints are near you or at least not far from you. 100 meters is good.

Does Litchi work with the MA flawlessly without any modifications done...really interested in way point flying?

I believe the same as the distance allowed between waypoints which is 2000 meters.

I was watching a You Tube video and apparently the drone will fly to the first way point from present position.   Probably important to be pretty close to the first way point and no obstacles in the path.

Makes sense.  I have mine set to RTH so I want to be as close as possible to first way point.

Welcome to Litchi.  You will never look back.  I never try to be further then 100 ft from my first waypoint.  Always remember to quadruple check all your missions for inaccuracies.

The most important issue in the waypoint mission while starting is to be careful about the GPS should be good not less than 11 satellites and if it becomes less than 8 Satellites immediatly  pause the mission or stop it to prevent any conflict may cause a problem.

So what can happen if GPS satellites drop to less than 11 or 8?

"Waypoints" (the points) are infact a group of coordinates that definable by GPS, the "mission" plan is total auto pilot plan that the drone does't need the controller after the plan been transferred from the device to the drone,  and once the GPS is weak this means the drone will turn into atti mode, here the drone has two choices either continue the mission which is impossible or auto return  to home also impossible because of atti mode. This may cause a problem to you. Therefore, in this case stop the mission from the device screen and return the drone manually.

Satellites would have to drop below 6 before you'd need to worry.  Let me say in hundreds of extreme Litchi missions I have never lost satellite lock.

Agreed, it just doesn’t happen....

I agree with you DB, me too never lost GPS with litchi, but not all pilots are aware of the possibilities that might happens, therefore, they have to consider this and know what to do.

That's good to here.  I guess it would be pretty difficult to lose all the satellites.  I use my Garmin GPS in my car all the time and never lost satellites.

Can someone tell me how do to delete waypoints and POIs on the iPad, please? I can add them but can't see how to delete them. I wanted to post this as a new thread but can't because I'm new to the forum.

First, select / click on the waypoint you want to delete and a dialog / window will appear that displays the details associated that waypoint. To delete the waypoint, click on the icon with the minus (-) sign in the upper-left corner of the dialog / window, and it will remove that waypoint. Deleting a POI is done the same way.

P.S. On a related note, the latest / newest version of Litchi now includes support for the Mavic 2.

Watching the virtual mission in Google earth is like a game changer. It is really useful to check your altitude changes and setup your shots/vids in 3d.
