Can't take Photo or Switch to Video

Recently updated the firmward on P4 standard. After the update I am unable to take a photo or switch to video. When snapping the shutter the progress wheel spins for a bit, screen goes black and then reverts to the preview. When attempting to switch to video screen switches briefely, hangs recieve a message "Strong wireless interference" (yes, I've tried moving to multiple locations) then reverts back to photo preview screen. I've also tried to downgrade via Assistant 2 but no luck with that either. Assistant 2 will not connnect. I'm guessing a repair is in order but thought I would throw this out there in the event anyone has experienced anything similar. A quick search on the web shows similar situations but can't find anything in the forums or at least not with a fix.

Same thing here.  I did all the uninstall and reinstall.   DJI asst refresh....nothing works.
Since my P-4 std is out of warranty I took it to a local Seattle repair shop.
They found that the camera/Gimble board was damaged....$200.oo repair.
Something about the upgrade might be frying these components.
I'll pick it up this week and see what it's like when it's returned to me.
Like you....I first noticed that I could not switch between camera and video after I got the first notice of strong interference.
Drone would not take photos or vids...…
So.....we'll see..

Hello and thanks for the reply. Yes, I have tried the following:
Delete and re-installation of the app
Multiple SD Cards
Reformatting SD Cards
Multiple IOS devices
Using DJI Assistant 2 (app will not connect)

This occurred after the most recent firmware update.
On a FaceBook thread in Official DJI owners a user experienced the EXACT situation complete with the "strong wireless interference message" and gimbal slowly panning from right to left - this is identical to my experience.

Their unusual solution:

"David Dowson Looks like I’ve fixed this issue. Plugged my dji goggles into the controller and was able to get a video feed, then switched to my phone and hey presto everything is fine, weird but it’s fixed and I’m happy.."

  Well.. I got my drone back from " SEATTLE DRONE REPAIR "
I'm very happy now.  Somehow... the latest upgrade fried my camera/gimble control board.
I'm out of warranty so I choose local repair.
Fired drone up last night and everything worked as it should.
It cost me over $200.oo for fix.
I am upset because it does look like the upgrade  was at fault for the problem.

After upgrade....first thing was  notice of strong interference.  Then  drone disconnected.   screen goes blank on iPad air 2.
Can't refresh on DJI asst.
Battery confused.  would not shut down using normal switching.
Uninstall and reinstall not working.
At that point...contacted SEATTLE DRONE REPAIR.
Got repair done in 3 day's....Me.....very happy now
