I have this issue too. I live at the coast and it's always windy in here. I often fly near the max altitude that's allowed (local limit is 150 m when not near airports) and here that often means 100 kph winds. DJI doesn't recommend flying at strong wind, but we don't get a lot of calm and the drones handle the wind just fine. I originally bought the Mavic Pro because using the sports mode on the Spark was useless as it tilted the gimbal sideways when turning the drone. Mavic Pro was great because the gimbal would always stabilise the shot even in sports mode. But now the Mavic 2 Zoom goes back to tilting the gimbal - this time vertically. This is a HUGE disappointment for me! I realise that higher speeds may require the drone to pitch more, but I would prefer to chose weather to prioritise speed or gimbal stability. I would chose gimbal stability 100% of the time. It's super annoying when I try to shoot a clip and the shot is ruined by the gimbal suddenly diving! Please make this an option! It can't be too difficult to limit the pitch angle before the gimbal is about to tilt down while a video is being recorded.
Whatever conditions, mavic pro never has this problems. so, mavic 2 must be better off. Imagine if we need a clip flying backward and stop and fly back again. if the camera tilts. we lost the most vital moment. I already spoken to DJI store in Chile. they already emailed DJI and we are still waiting, To me, there is a issue here. |
