So, I'm looking to purchase the Care Refresh after the 48hrs period of registration...

DJI show  a video HOW to show the unit working etc which needs to be submitted and reviewed...

See: https://repair.dji.com/en/djicare/customerupload

But in the video we see the Inspire....and it asks 200m distance 120m altitude...... REALLY>>>>>? I need to fly my Air almost 400ft up....I never fly that high...

Can someone at DJI confirm Distance and Altitudes for test video for Air for submission for Care Refresh before i shoot my video application?

DJI Care video verification requirements:
1. Show aircraft, remote controller and DJI Go app in the same shot.
2. Shoot your video in a bright and open outdoor area.
3. Ensure video is clear and in focus. DO NOT edit your video.
In the verification video, please shoot the following items in order
1)    S/N numbers of your aircraft and gimbal, making sure that both numbers are clearly visible
2)    Turn on the remote controller and the battery
3)    Enter DJI GO app and calibrate the compass outdoors (open area recommended)
4)    Format SD card using the DJI GO app. Make sure it is backed up before formatting.
5)    Check the IMU.
6)    Demonstrate gimbal pitch movement and rotation by moving it up, down, left and right. If using a Phantom 3 series product, simply tilt up and down.
7)    Use the Combination Stick Command to power on the motors.
8)    Hover the aircraft in a place at an altitude of around 1.2m and a distance of 6m and transform the Inspire. Skip this step if using a Phantom 3 series product.
9)    Move the Inspire up, down, forwards, backwards, left, right and do the clockwise and counterclockwise rotation.
10)    Use the remote controller to record several seconds of video and use the Playback button to check the recording.
11)    Hover the aircraft at a high altitude, i.e. 20m.
12)    Carry out a distance and altitude test, making sure to show the DJI GO app clearly in your shot. In an open space, distance and altitude should reach at least around 200m and 120m respectively.
13)    Test aircraft landing gear by lowering it until the landing gear lowers automatically. Skip this step if using Phantom 3 series product.
14)    Land the aircraft, power off the aircraft battery and then turn off remote controller then stop your recording.
Upload your video on YouTube and reply us with the video link. REMINDER: DO NOT edit your video.
Once approved, DJI will inform you through email.

YES BUT::::

Well, I guess you can either follow their rules and fly to 390 feet up or don't get DJI care added after the 48 hours and go a different route for insuring the drone.

I really do not really have an answer past that, I do apologize.  Hopefully DJI comes on and says they will make an exception for you since you are not comfortable going up that high in your drone yet. I'm sure they understand that as someone begins flying they may not be as comfortable going to the ceiling and may want to take it slowly.

They can't force you to fly illegally (depending on your country)! A height of 100m will do, worked for me.

It is written poorly I think;
> Carry out a distance and altitude test, making sure to show the DJI GO app clearly in your shot. In an open space, distance and altitude should reach at least around 200m and 120m respectively.

So you at least need to fly a distance of 200m, and an altitude of 120m.

Not very helpful.....hence why as said in my post for someone from DJI to answer rather than just getting opinions....

I mean the 200m distance isnt an issue...but the 120m (393.701ft), and seeing as FAA in the United States, drones are permitted to go no higher than 400 feet...this is VERY much asking a lot to risk....

I would like a DJI representative to confirm, for the purposes of Care Refresh post 48hr registration to confirm what is needed, from someone in USA.

Hi there. Thanks for the inquiry. You can actually fly your drone at a 50m distance and 50m altitude for safety. Please make sure to fly it in an open space. Should you have further question, please let us know. Thank you.
