Has anyone seen this pattern on the status LEDs on their Spark?
Solid red for 2 seconds
Off for 1 second
Solid red for 2 seconds
Off for 2 seconds
Slow flash green (P Mode with GPS)
9 seconds later pattern repeats

Battery level greater than 88%. Multiple batteries have been tried.
AC stability and response is good.
No error is reported in the GO4 app.
This pattern does not occur when in Atti mode (ie: indoors)

The Spark User Manual has no definition for this pattern.

As it happens I am within an airport warning zone.
Now the question becomes why DJI will not disclose this information. If this is, in fact, a normal indication.
I have been suspecting it was a Critical Error.

The blinking status indicators are rather lost on me. I have to go by the messages on the screen.

Now, if I can just get an Admin to get DJI to confirm or deny this Fly Zone Warning indication.

Sometimes it is a challenge to get an DJI Admin to respond.

Thanks, S-e-ven.
I have seen this in other forums. I have even seen a video of a Phantom showing this very status pattern.

At this point I have a urgent real need to get DJI OFFICIAL confirmation or denial of this as related to a Spark.

Please excuse me if this is not the proper way to do this. But.....

This is a time-critical issue for me. Delaying may well cost me money. I am trying to keep this near the top of the list. I need the attention of a DJI Admin.

Thank you for understanding.

That does not help at all. This pattern does not exist there.
What I need is an OFFICIAL DJI confirmation or denial that this is a No Fly Zone Warning indication for a Spark

Is it or isn't it?

And to get a followup resolution is even tougher.
Why is it so hard to get a simple answer to a simple question?
Why is DJI and its Admins here so reluctant to confirm or deny an observation?

Like I have replied a few months back, the software may be outsourced. It is not coded within DJI.

Software may well be outsourced. But I believe DJI should still know what the status indications are for the Spark.
In addition, and most importantly, keep us, the buyers, fully informed about ALL status indications of the LEDs on the Spark.

This particular issue has cost me many hours of chats, aggravation, ignorance and shipping. All because DJI refuses to disclose and document this No Fly Zone Warning LED display on the Spark. I thought, and was led to believe, this was a Critical Error not a warning.

Further, I have come to the conclusion these DJI Admins are not allowed to answer these types of questions with specific, direct answers. DJI Gamora probably posted the only thing that was permitted. Under a "GAG ORDER"?

How did support for this issue stack up? Here ya go:

Many thanks to Spark_Pilot_XxXx and S-e-ven.
These two members provided the best (and only) actual help.

DJI Gamora: Nothing that helped. No follow up.
Other forum admins: Nothing at all.
Never got any confirmation or denial. Very poor support.

I agree with you!

I spendet a lot of time talking to the online support and one of them told me to sent my drone in!!! Once i recovered this is a warnig zone warning ( which i found out myselve ) i tried telling them to put this into the manual. They told they would forward this to their „engineers“ and they would send me an e mail , but i didnt hear anything even until now which is more than 6 months later!

All in all i am pretty disappointed about dji not knowing their own drones

Cheers

Same thing has happened to me with the on-line chat sessions. They seem to be totally oblivious to this No Fly Zone warning status indication.

They led me to believe it may be a Critical Error. I sent the Spark in for repair. They found nothing wrong. No surprise there. DJI paid for shipping both ways and spent time evaluating the Spark. What a waste of my time and DJI's resources.

Exactly what does DJI gain by withholding this information?
That is a rhetorical question since I am quite sure no DJI Administrator here will be allowed to respond in any way.
