When I try to install the app it says device not compatible but my device has the required iOS so what is not compatible. If anyone has this problem or knows how to fix please let me know.

The fix is to use a compatible device. You can use any Apple device listed here:

iPad 2 is not compatible with the latest app releases.
Maybe you can install on it much earlier version of the app, but for sure not the latest, it’s not possible.

I have an iPpad air 2, but DJI Go 4 says my device is not compatible. I upgraded to IOS 12 and same thing.

There is no problem, thanks. Today I found another Apple owner with a lightning cable. Mine only recharges and I've ordered a new cable.  Thanks for for the quick response and I hope it helps other Apple newbies.
