I don’t think it will allow go back to 300 , so roll back would be just to .400, I’m on .400 and it has been fine for me, I will update , flying dji drones now for 5 years and have always updated, I have rolled back once and it was because I was having difficulty signing in, but that has been sorted now.
I suppose you have the option to stay where you are, but whether up to date app will effect older FW I’m just not sure, so maybe wait just a couple of weeks to see how it’s going.

yeah, that's the plan.   I'm a little hesitant because of the problems that I experienced when I updated to .0400.   I'll stay here (.0300) and see if some of the other users that are on .0400 and HAVE had problems, experience improvements.  In this case, your experience won't be a barometer for me, since you didn't experience problems with .0400.  

Although the tech in me is really itching to upgrade and let it fly.

Agree. At least no "firmware can not be rolled back" and a precise layout of "fixes". Improvement at least, thanks DJI.

According to notes, there will be nothing stopping rolling back, but only to .400 .

Lack of it makes AvtiveTrack and Gesture/Follow useless so it should be natural..

Firmware no longer on dji mavic air downloads. Good i just sent mine back to them yesterday. Got a spark and a zoom to fly so don’t care when they get it worked out.

Interesting that the Air .500 release notes differ from the MVP .500 release notes -- does this mean the fixes only apply to the Air model? The upload dates differ for the two as well with the Air version being the most recently posted.

Firmware updates are always device specific. DJI Go Updates, you get all the junk for other devices as well as the one you actually own.

I know what happened. They went back to enable both the Goggles and smartphone to work at the same time just because I asked.

still waiting for the advertised (and later removed from specs) waypoints feature, also dynamic homepoints is a must and should be present since Spark also has it...

As for the bug fixes, I hope it fixes all .400 issues even though I haven’t experienced those any of those myself yet...

You know, I've owned multiple DJI products and have been pleased with all of them for the most part.  The tech is amazing.  I'm still kinda mad I sold my Spark.  And the MA is a really cool platform, but I feel for the folks that have chosen to  ground theirs waiting for FW updates that were promised but never delivered.  DJI's handling of this platform has been almost criminal.  It will not be lost on me.

I must have missed something... IS there or IS THERE NOT a FW update for the MA? I turned my on today and it did not prompt for an update.

At this point in time, there is not.  DJI briefly posted a new Release Notes PDF that included changes for .0500, but the FW never appeared and the Release Notes were removed from the downloads page.

Well, one more reason to sell my MA and keep my MPP until Christmas when the M2Z goes down a bit in price.

I am done waiting for the drone to work as advertised. It has been sitting in its box for 2 months.

I figured the best way would be that you select the drone/s you have, and then it downloads the files for that and remembers your choice. If you never select Phantom, you never download Phantom files.
