Can anyone advise please whether the DJI goggles can be used for 3D VR (i.e. like an Oculus Rift alternative)? There was talk of implementing this feature about a year ago but I don’t know if anything has happened about it. Do the goggles just duplicate a single mono image for each eye or do they process the left and right images separately from a dual feed from the HDMI connection? If the former is true I guess viewing 3D will never be possible.

Hi Decky, the Goggles support to view flight videos and photos, panoramas and HD video content, but do not support the 3D videos for now. Should there is an update, we'll release on our website at the first time. Appreciate your support and attention.

The goggles duplicate a single mono image.  Let's hope that the goggles are capable of 3D.

Unfortunately if the goggles only receive and duplicate a single image input they will never be capable of 3D without being redesigned. They will need to be able to receive a separate input for each screen to be capable of 3D, perhaps with just a firmware update.

the goggles use polarised glass which also acts as a kind of mirror... 2 screens are on the top and bottom... each polarising part of the glass the glass is at a 45 degree angle. Its complex but cant see it possiblly working with 3d

Hi Susan! It's been 3 years from DJI engineers working out some solutions about new update of making Goggle support 3D. Do your guys give up? Please tell us something.
