I see that Go 4 has an update to the program. I'm currently on 4.2.16. The Android playstore does not give the newest update version. There was some issues with a newer version of Go 4 a bit a go(version uncertain), and I"m wondering if I shoud update to this new version? My ac an tx for the spark are on the latest firmware.

It depends on your device.
If the device can handle  the latest version, then by all means go ahead and update.
