Morning all,
     It appears I've bricked my DJI Spark RC and looking at a replacement option that doesn't cost $125 (after tax). I read somewhere that you can use Bluetooth controllers with IOS devices, does anyone know if you can with android devices? Also, any recommendations on controllers?

Thank you, but both conditions are for IOS. As for the limitations, I don't have alot of choice. DJI doesn't support their RC's and I'm not really wanting to spend another $125 and get no support for it.

The problem with this is it's for IOS & they're with spitting distance of the cost for a new RC

Is there any possibility of having the RC repaired by DJI ??

When I talked to tech support, the answer was no. I was told they only repair drones, unless it’s covered under warranty.

So there are two different ways to connect to the RC (cable, & wifi). Neither methods work now, below is the problems I'm have with both.

1. Wifi:
The RC starts up fine ,red flashes & then green when connected, but I have to restart the RC atleast 3 time consistently for it to show up on my wifi list, for my android phone & my Ipad. When it does show up on my list, the green light on the RC starts flashing red when I attempt to connect to it. Occasionally, RC will connect to my device but loses connection shortly after my drone takes off.

2. Cable:
The RC starts up fine ,red flashes & then green when connected, but once I connect my device (Android and Ipad) the RC immediately starts flashing red and doesn't stop till I unplug and restart it. I've tried having the device plugged into the RC before and after startup with same results.

I went through a "song and dance" with DJI , via emails, for a week and at the end they said the RC was bad. So Here I am.

First of all dont use OTG cable. Secondly try to downgrade the SPARK firmware and RC firmware to a lower version.Use the official DJI assistant 2 PC software. Finally use the program DJI GO4 mod v4.1.15 to switch the RC to FCC mode.
Your RC is not bricked ! Its just that you need to work on a particular sequence to properly function the RC.
DJI cannot help here as it is purely a technical issue not meant for forum admins.

You can only downgrade the RC firmware using OTG cable for an android device. Please try this method.

I doubt, that he'll be succesfull:

How old is your drone, out of warranty already?

Did you brick it during/with the fw update?

If yes: open a topic about this, perhaps DJI gets the idea to help you with it!
The other way: check ebay or craigslist for someomne selling his spark RC.
There have been some fly aways or pilot errors in the states, methinks
