Hi.  I got this sunshade accessory for my DJI Spark.  I noticed that in some instances, when the gimbal is all the way up and I move the drone forward, the shade appears in the video, which is not nice.  Is this the normal behavoir with this accessory?  Is there a way to avoid it?  For instance, perhaps I can put a limit on the gimbal so that it does not reach the top?  Am I missing something?

Yep, your guess is correct. That one shows up in just about everything.  This one works way better.

Thanks for the feedback.  The one you recommend will not show?
Do you know if there is a way to restrict the topmost position for the gimbal?

Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. Sorry that this accessory is not available on our store and we're not aware of this issue, however, you could try to adjust your gimbal pitch to get possibly get rid of the part of this sun shade. Thank you for the support.

I attached a pic. Its on both Amazon & ebay.  To answer the other question, as far as I know there is now way to restrict travel of the head.

I will try to trim the shade a little bit with a band sander.  Probably it will not look neat, but will give it a try.

Yes, I'm ordering it.  In the meantime I will trim the one I have, just for the fun of experimenting.

Trimmed it, super easy with my band sander, then polished it with a fine grain sandpaper. 5 minutes.

Ordered the new sunshade too.

Just a follow-up to let you know that I ordered and tested the shade recommended by Jim00re and so far so good. I really like it and it seems to be non-intrusive.

Personally i am not so happy hanging things onto my Spark. It realy takes more battery in my opinion. But anyhow does it have a positive effect these shades in general ?

I think that it it helps minimize unwanted flares. These hoods are popular in SLR cameras for a reason I guess. But additionally, in the case is the drone, I think that it helps protect the gimbal for ocasional bumps that may damage it.

It does not weight that much. My guess is that the negative impact in battery lifetime is not that significant and the benefit outweighs that.
