Some of us do operate both Inspire 2 and Matrice 200 series aircrafts, which are using the same TB50 batteries. However, everytime I insert a matched pair of these batteries into whatever bird I'm about to fly, the Go 4 app stubbornly reports firmware mismatch. The app is offering possibility to fix the issue immediately, which usually takes a minute or two, but these batteries on another bird will trigger the same warning again. I used to ignore the message, but it's a bit annoying. Would it be possible to upgrade batteries firmware to a version compatible with both aircrafts?

Hi, I would like to clarify that you're trying to use the batteries on the Inspire 2 then use it on the Matrice 200? Please keep us posted so that we could possibly coordinate it with our engineers.

I made an extensive posts about my own challenges with battery firmware and compatibility on this thread:
https://forum.dji.com/forum.php? ... D385%26typeid%3D385

I don't even switch aircraft and the battery firmware mismatch is a challenge.  Imagine if you used the M200, Inspire 2 and I think the new Ronin uses the same battery?

DJI really needs to find a cross platform compatible firmware to avoid this constant upgrade, downgrade.

Hi, Sorry for the late response. The firmware of your drones are different and the batteries might not be compatible depending on the drone that you're using.  Unfortunately, there's no option on the batteries that will be compatible with both aircraft at the moment. Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you for your efforts. Apparently this issue is addressed in .0200 FW for Inspire 2 (pls see release notes), but I'm not going to confirm that due to a numerous other issues introduced by this firmware.

Hi, Sorry for the late response. Please allow me to coordinate it to the right department.  I would like to clarify that the batteries of your aircraft for both M200 and Inspire 2 is 1.0.0.67, however, it will still you'll be receiving the error message that the firmware isn't matched, correct?

Tony, I have no way to find what FW version batteries are on. All I know is that TB50 batteries used with Inspire 2 (on FW .0100) are triggering this message when installed on Matrice 200. And vice versa.

Hi, Thanks for your prompt reply. Did you try to use DJI Assistant 2 and refresh the firmware on it? You can check if the message will pop up when you installed it in I2 or M200. Please let me know if the issue will be the same.

Tony, I didn't perform FW refreshing with Assistant 2 software, which comes in two incarnations: one version for M200 and another for Inspire2. Instead I executed Slide to Update for all TB50 pairs in M200, which is on latest .0913 FW. This apparently solved the issue. These pairs are now seem compatible with Inspire 2 on .0100 FW and Inconsistent Firmware Found message disappeared for both birds.

Matthew

FYI       The latest FW for the inspire 2 batteries::  1.0.0.71 it seems to work with I2 FW .100 okay. So it looks like the M2 has a higher FW level.

Thanks, Rich. Actually I just confirmed this yesterday. Only DJI Pilot app is displaying batterie's FW version, and indeed 1.0.0.71 is compatible with both Inspire 2 and Matrice 200 series.
