A couple of times now I have forgotten to remove the protector when powering on the MA. I know this can damage the gimbal and that they are expensive to replace so I decided to make the thing more visible. A few coats of bright fluorescent orange paint did the trick, now when I turn the MA over to start it the orange protector is highly visible and so far I have remembered to remove it every time.
Just a suggestion for others.

I tied a 4 inch thin nylon fishing line in mine and its impossible not to notice.

That's what I did to all of my drone gimbal protectors. I super glued a 6 inch piece of bright orange ribbon on them all.
