Weren't you worried about your bird getting struck?

Impressive footage.  My previous low-light experience with a P2V+ flying was not worth repeating.  Might have to try that again with the P3P!

What was your video playback speed when you created this for upload?

Nice Video! It wasn't raining at all when you were flying? You were lucky that you were able to get those shots.

The storm was over 50 miles from me. LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE YOU FROM 20 MILES AWAY PLEASE USE CAUTION AND ALWAYS FLY SAFE.

Some of the footage was at normal speed and some was slowed down to 50% and I did a few freeze frames. Done with FCP. LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE YOU FROM 20 MILES AWAY PLEASE USE CAUTION AND ALWAYS FLY SAFE.

No it was not raining. The storm was about 75 miles from me .LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE YOU FROM 20 MILES AWAY PLEASE USE CAUTION AND ALWAYS FLY SAFE.

Hi gil. I found that I got better video when shooting in black and white and set the ISO as low as you can. When I shot the video the storm was on the other side of Philadelphia. The light from the city gave it a orange look and creates a lot of noise. And I use a app  to track the storms with live radar. You Just got to fine what setting works best for you for your location. If you try it I would like to see it and what settings you use. Just remember how far away lightning can strike you. One time when I was getting out of my can to go home a lightning strike hit about 75 feet from me. I could feel it even though it did not get a direct hit.

Yeah I've done the same about 10 miles away. It's all good cause lightning can't strike you that far away.
