Hi Dan, thanks for reaching DJI Forum. We do apologize for the troubles you had. Kindly remove the USB cable and check whether DJI Assistant 2 can detect the device. Restart the device. Check the drive system: Power on the aircraft and connect it to the PC. Enter the Task Manager. If the driver software is not installed, a yellow examination mark is displayed in the Device Manager. Please re-install the driver software. You may also check for another cable to use or another PC to make sure everything's taken cared of. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hi Dan,

When DJI released the Inspire 1 series including the Inspire 1 v2, the DJI Assistance 2 software was not released yet. You don't need to run any DJI software on your PC or Mac to download flight data from Inspire 1. There is no DJI software available for us to download and install for interpreting the flight data on PC or Mac. You will have to upload them to websites such as airdata.com for translating them into meaningful information that you can interprete.

There is a USB port at the back of the Inspire 1 v2, from which the flight data can be downloaded. If you connect the air-craft to your PC or your Mac without entering flight data mode, nothing will show up in your PC or Mac.

You will need to switch on both the Inspire 1 v2 and the remote control. In the DJI Go App, enter the Main Controller Setting page, and then press "Advanced Settings" at the bottom to enter the Advanced Settings page. At the bottom of the Advanced Settings page you will see the blue "Enter Flight Data Mode" letters. When you press the blue "Enter Flight Data Mode" letters, you will be prompted to connect your PC to the USB port on the aircraft via a USB cable, and be prompted to switch off the aircraft when you have completed downloading flight data. Once you have connected the aircraft to your PC, you will see a hard disc icon in your Windows Explore window. This is where all your recent flight data stored. you can drag-and-drop the flight data files to your PC. Safely remove the hard disc similar to what you would normally do with a USB drive. Switch off the aircraft when you are done.

If you connect your aircraft to a Mac, the situation will be a little bit tricky. You won't see the hard disc icon in your Finder window. You will have to run Disc Utility to locate the hard disc, and need to create a disc image from that hard disc in order to access the flight data.

Hope these help.

Henry
