I have a big problem with one of my N3 controllers! Yesterday I calibrated the ESCs with the Assistant software, all was working fine. Today I wanted to check the copter before flight and now Motor 2 is beeping all the time, like there is no RC signal. I checked the signal with my oscilloscope and there is nothing on Motor Port 2, all other 5 Motor-Ports are ok. What can I do??
PS:
I already installed the latest Firmware, nothing changes.
The motor test in the assistant software does not work with any of the motors.
Hi Bernd, sorry for the trouble with the N3, the issue will be forwarded to our engineers for further analysis, I will come back to you once I hear from them, please wait patiently, thank you.
Hi bernde, sorry for my late response, we have verified with our engineers that if there is no signal output in M2, please try to connect M7 and M8 with the Dupont line, then update the firmware via the Assistant Software, please don't install other parts except the flight controller, if there is no luck, the device will need to be sent in for further evaluation.
Hi Mindy,
what should I connect on M7 and M8? ESC to test if these two Ports are working?
After this, should I disconnect all ESCs and update the firmware (I have already the current firmware installed)?
Now I have made some tests:
- I changed Airframe to Octocopter and checked the output of M7 and M8 -> no problem, normal RC signal.
- I disconnected all ESCs, updated firmware again, restored default settings -> nothing changed, M2 does not output any signal
- Motor test in new assist software does not work
Connect M7 and M8 with a patch cable and power on (only the FC). That will probably force a hard reset. On former FCs F1 and F2 are the relevant ports. The information from Mindy is new for me and very interesting.
Best regards,
Wilhelm
@ Wisi-Testpilot:
Danke, für die Info, hatte ich nicht richtig verstanden!
I tried the following:
- diconnected GPS and RC-Signal
- connected M7 to M8
- powered the N3 up
- connected USB to my PC and started the Assistend software
- after connecting there was a popup that I am in Loader Mode now and I have to update the firmware
- I started the updated, it failed...
- Retry, update failed...
- diconnected M7-M8 connection
- Update finished??
- rebooted N3
- all settings where the same as before - normally all settings should be gone??
- reconnected all and tried again
-> M2 does not work
What I measured with my oscilloscope: (yellow: M2, red: M7)
Settings will be erased with factory reset (dashboard restore).
The port seems to have a hardware issue.
An important information is, that the hard reset works.
Best regards,
Wilhelm
Hi, I have the same issue but on port M1. Could you explain to me how to do the correct connection to M7 and M8 so that I would be able to try the HARD RESET of my N3?
Whit wich cable I have to connect these two ports?
Is this usual problem DJI, I too facing similar problem, how should i resolve issue,
i suspect the issue raised because of aluminium outlayer which shortcircuits ports.
Hi Matteo,
would you please let me know whether your issue resolved ?
Hi Bernde,
would you let me know is there any other ways i can resolve this issue.
