Hey Dronists !
Long time no see in our case...I did not write for a while. I have been quite busy lately, but this doesn’t mean that my fleet of drones have been collecting dust. I have been creating some epic shots during these couple of months. Since it’s autumn the harvest season is a hot topic.
There’s so much to do during autumn, you have the chance to play with a ton of colors during your trips, and if you live near an area where agriculture is a great source of income don't hesitate get out and take some epic shots!
Yes I’m talking about shooting on a field full with haystacks.
For this trip I used my DJI Mavic Air to capture some shots I had in my mind. Because of its portability having it with me during my trips is a joy. Although you might think that photographing haystacks became mainstream with the top dow shots you might be right... To stand out from the crowd you’ll need to use your imagination, and try out new angles! I would like to share with you some useful tips, be sure to scroll downs for some beautiful pictures, the best ones are yet to come!
Timing:
When taking pictures on the field first of all you’ll need to choose the best time for it. Personally I would recommend the golden hour so that you’ll get an autumnish warm feel.
Height:
You try out different heights and angles Depending the number of haytacks on the field. If you have a huge number trying a greater hight might also look pretty cool. Try to find some interesting spots something that brakes the monotony of a single color field.
Creativity:
Lately I'm really into making innception style photos, first you'll see the original image, which is an ok picture but it can become much more with a little post production gimmick.
Here's the original one so you'll have an idea from what I have managed to create the picture above.
I strongly recommend you to do a 360 spin and have a look what you might find near you. That's how I managed to create some other artistic shots not only haystack themed.
