Recordings from the southernmost Djursland, Sletterhage in Denmark.
Very dark and very cloudy weather conditions - hard to edit well. Here are clips from the famous lighthouse, from the so-called German tower, as well as from the old German torpedo bunker, which today serves as a shelter. The video is spiced with a few clips of the beach, which are taken a couple of kilometers northwest of the lighthouse. Shot October 19, 2018 with my Mavic Pro.
Very nice indeed as I expected it would be. Looks like you are experiencing the same weather as us. Nevertheless you did an awesome job. Is the lighthouse manned or automated!

Thanks Boss.
I'm quite sure it's fully automated. The place is known as a tourist attraction with a little exhibition more than anything else and you can see big ships sails close past the lighthouse.
The lighthouse has its own homepage. The frontpage is partly translated into both German and English.

Very nice FlyDk. Looks like as we say in the south the bottom is about to fall out the sky.
Well done
Thanks Buddy.
Yes, it threatened rain all day, but there was not a drop where I was while I was flying. When I was on my way home (one and a half hours drive) it rained a little. It was perfect.

Yeah we just shot a number of lighthouses and all but 2 are unmanned. Fully automated doesn't do it for me. Roches point lighthouse whilst the lighthouse I think is automated it has a full time staff to man the observation platform. It has a number of dwellings so perhaps multiple agencies run some sort of scheme there. My guess the met office and perhaps coast guard spotters, who knows right. The complex is closed to the public so you can't gain access to the lighthouse or buildings by foot. The do have boat trips land from time to time but I believe even they can't access the lighthouse site. I would love to have a walk round lol

Yup, I watched your video with the lighthouses - great one.
You are right of course. Even fully automated things needs monitoring and servicing by people, thankfully.
Even with an overcast day you did an excellent job with the video.
I checked out the web site and read the I cream Shop opens up at noon for a delicious ice cream cone or a hot cup of coffee, tea or chocolate or a hot dog.
Sounds like a good place to be on a cloudy day.

Thanks Buddy - appreciated.
Yes, I got a cup of hot chocolate.
With only approx. 12 degrees C I don't think there were many who bought ice cream.
Very cool video FlyDK. I'm waiting for an authorization re flying above a lighthouse in my area (France has many restrictions when talking about flying above public areas). Anyway thanks for your share and good work ;)

Thank you very much.
I know it's crazy in France... as it is here too in my opinion. You see, I'm not flying above people or above the lighthouse. The rules I have to follow is 50 meters measured horizontally away from both people and buildings. 150 meters away from public roads (again horizontally) and urban development is totally prohibited unless it is for professional purposes. No overflying at all unless permission has been obtained from the appropriate authority. So talk about restrictions to me again - eh..?
