Today we wanted to showcase a little of the Autumn we are having here in Ireland and to explain a little of how we were able to achieve the video you are about to watch, I hope!
We used our trusty DJI Mavic Pro 1, along with a DJI Ronin S with the Lumix stills camera. The Mavic Pro was fitted with a Polar Pro ND16 filter, shot on Manual, ISO 100 and shutter speed of 80/120. It was filmed in 4k at 24fps, the white balance set to cloudy.
We waited to capture the light on the trees at the right time of day which was a south easterly sun around 4-pm. We always check for powerlines and any obstacles before taking off on our preflight checks. We then checked the exposure for each direction of flight, for the best cinematic results. We flew to a maximum height of 400 feet so we could also capture the mountains in the background.
Once I had gathered all the video footage together, I used Final Cut Pro X to do my editing. I found on this occasion I did not need to alter any of the saturation or exposure as i felt it was just right. I then selected the clips I wanted, put them together added in my transitions then selected music i thought would be appropriate.
She's working on another Autumn inspired project...... what have I done! She's turned into a DJI monster, let's go shopping..... NO WE'RE GOING FLYING lol

I have reigned myself to the fact I created a monster and she's a DJI junkie. She loves flying and loves editing and no complaints from me.
Couldn't agree with you more, she has found a pastime she absolutely adores. The Mavic Air (her pet) has given her the confidence to fly in at times challenging weather conditions and her knowledge just keeps expanding weekly. She doesn't have an issue taking the inspire up and bombing around now, whereas a few months ago she would even contemplate taking the inspire out. She has come on in Leaps and bounds, so I'm delighted.
