It happened during a late afternoon of autumn. It had rained all day and when I left home, I saw this incredible light just before sunset on the mountain where my house is located. Overexcited, I quickly released my Mavic 2 Pro and became entranced by this magical atmosphere surrounding the mountains. When I gained altitude with my Mavic, I then discovered the even more unique light scene. I couldn't believe how beautiful it was. I had done a lot of experimentation in the last days, I was ready for anything but I couldn’t really expect such a magical moment. The cloudy sky, the warm light at the end of the day during the peak of autumn colours made of this moment a perfect one.
I tried for weeks to shoot in "DLog-M" mode and I had a lot of trouble getting satisfactory results given my limited level of video editing. It was the first day that I've changed this setting to the "Normal" color mode. And bang, it was immediately beautiful, immediately unbelievable, immediately simpler and faster for editing.
- DJI Mavic 2 Pro
- DJI ND Filter 4
- Cinematic Mode, 4K, 30 fps, Normal color mode
- Edited with Final Cut Pro X
I was thinking you used a color filter or changed color in post but after reading your post I understand you didn’t. Wow, that is incredible. Beautiful. Thanks for posting.

#Quick Reply Here#you have invested a lot of time and effort (not to mention, skill) into the making of this epic 14 minutes of spectacular viewing. Thanks for the share
Magnifique!
We’re so lucky to be living in such a picturesque part of the country,(I live near Glen Sutton). I received my Mavic 2 Zoom too late to take advantage of the fall colours but I’m doing my best to capture the winter landscape.
It’s amazing, how these machines have changed photography!
