Good afternoon

Looking online in the forum I see multiple opinon about flying in the winter. I'm in Canada and it gets cold and i wonder if its safe to still do video below 0c?

Thanks
Luc

The Spark gets pretty hot when flying as we all know, so I think flying in the winter wouldn’t be too bad.

Hi lucil, thanks for reaching DJI Forum. We do appreciate bringing this query to us. DJI Spark's Operating Temperature Range is 32° to 104° F (0° to 40° C). We do not suggest to fly the aircraft below 0 degrees. Engineers have rigidly tested under certain weather conditions below. Should you have any concerns, don't hesitate to reach us. We're here to help you. Thank you.

One thing to be aware of is the possibility of ice forming on the props if flying in freezing mist.
Also reduced battery performance.

Keep your batteries warm before flight. And be aware that there is low humidity (condens) and battery life shortens.

I can't say much for the cold weather, but the +104 thing is quite real. My main tablet over heated and the second seemed to be better but then the spark started getting seriously delayed on accepting commands. Lets just say I'm glad I had set a hight limit.... As soon as I got it back down, I called it quits for high heat days.

Just keep the batteries warm before take off and hover for a minute plus don't max out quickly on the throttle/pitch early in the flight.

I really wanted to fly the spark in a Snowy Canadian winter, I have to see what DJI says about the flyaway.

I flew last weekend and this, the temp was down to 1 degree C today, when I brought the spark down, it felt quite warm despite the cool air.  Thanks for the pointers, I know that I will have to pick my times carefully given the conditions and limitations.  Here's a low-res from today, you can see a few little patches of left over snow, there were a couple of inches here yesterday
