To be honest my wife got me a phantom 3 for my birthday which is only end July so she has hidden it away from me until then so I have not even powered her up yet. I checked it to see that everything was there and thats the last I saw it. Not much flying place here due to the proximity to the airport.

Hi, I am in Pretoria East. Have flown a few times in open area east on Atterbury road.

I'm in the Cradle area, west of Johannesburg and close to Krugersdorp. Quite a number of open areas around here to fly...

i am in Florida Glen.

Hi all, new to the forum and Phantom I'm Eastrand Edenvale side.
Haven't really flown much yet, only had the drone around 2 weeks and spent most of that updating, testing in my yard and reading the forum.

I'll be coming back to SA for a holiday (living in Holland currently) so will keep an eye on this thread for some good tips.

Also keen on decent spots, currently flying in my back yard

Hi, I'm on the far West Rand. Plenty of flying space here. Why don't we start a whatsapp group to discuss flying and other issues?

I'm in the Durban area. Still looking (unsuccessfully) for safe, local and legal but interesting places to fly.  Model airfields are fine but frankly boring to video which is only reason I got the P3P. If anyone in area has some nice flying spots please share. Semi-retired so am available all the time.

I'm in Mayfair .I fly at haarties and at the vaal . just returned from northen kzn and on my journey I stopped at majuba bends and done some shots .journey was amazing stopping everywhere and taking shots

Road trip with a phantom just makes it worth it .
