Hi,

The Mavic 2 Pro specs for data rate say 100/mbs max.  Is that true for both 8bit and 10bit recording?  Or does the 10bit setting have a higher bit rate to capture all of the extra data?  If not, will the 10bit profile support higher bit rates in the future?

I think only h265 uses the full 100mbs

4K is 100Mbps. Whether it be HQ, FOV, H.264 or H.265.  And it always maxes out at more like 103 to 106 average.

Using H.265 is like 150Mbps H.264 on the M2P. So there’s more advanced compression technology (H.265) to choose from now over the old AVC H.264.


8-bit and 10-bit is a color thing. 8-bit is H.264 & H.265 Normal Color. 10-bit is D-LOG M and HLG Color modes (H.265 encoded only).
