Hi guys,

My M2P just arrived and my first question is:

How can I know if my M2P is in FCC or CE mode?

It chooses the correct one, based on your geographical location.  USA=FCC, Europe and other regions=CE

It will only fly in FCC mode if your in FCC area same for CE, there are some ways around this, but signal is so good why bother.

In the transmission settings, look at the signal graph, there are two horizontal lines, one for the ~1km and one for the ~4km.

CE mode: if both horizontal lines 'bracketing' the 100 dbm/Mhz then you are in CE
FCC mode: if both horizontal lines 'bracketing' the 90 dbm/MHz then you are in FCC.

Hi there. Thanks for the inquiry. FCC and CE mode will depend on your location. For example. If the user is in the US, the maximum transfer power should be 26 dBm when using 2.4GHz and the maximum transfer power should be 28 dBm when using 5.8GHz. This is the standard of FCC.

If the user is in Europe, the maximum transfer power should be 18 dBm when using 2.4GHz and the maximum transfer power should be 14 dBm when using 5.8GHz. This is the standard of CE.

If the user is in Brazil, the maximum transfer power may be 20 dBm when using 2.4GHz and the maximum transfer power may be 25 dBm when using 5.8GHz. Then the certification type in Brazil should be CE when using 2.G. The certification of 5.8 can refer to FCC because 25dBm is more close to 28dBm of FCC than 14 dBm of CE. (The parameters are not real)

But please remember the FCC certification is just a standard and we just set the largest flight distance in Brazil by the standard of FCC. It does not mean the maximum transfer power we set in Brazil is also same as FCC certification. Should you have further question, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to help. Thanks.
