Popped up as an advertisement on my FB feed. Still looks bulky but you have to start somewhere I guess. Company is called parazero. Are there other drone parachutes out there? Not trying to advertise for them. Just think it's near and a great step in drone safety.

Nice find. There are a few out in the market.

The problem with some is they deploy for no reason, which could result in unwanted consciences.

This one maybe the exception.

Yes thanks. That’s a good idea. If the drone malfunctions and falls down, then the parachute is deployed.

Exactly, they say on the website that it was the first exception granted to fly over people with a Phantom 4.  It's purely extra precaution in case your drone falls from the sky.

You could also use this parachute to gain much higher altitudes (if you have all necessary permissions of course).

Usually you need to stop climbing because of battery issues. With that parachute, you might ignore that, get your shot, let your drone fall down, and track it via an additional GPS sensor afterwards.

... and in the end, it lands in a pond or something
