A friend of mine had a bad experience this morning. I'm here to try to find out what was wrong on his flight. UAV Forecast was all clear. This is his first drone and had a couple of flights.

I take it he has submitted a support case with DJI ???

I thought that too. But he said there were no birds around the drone.

There’s isn’t a whole lot in your flight log.
But one thing would concern me, at the beginning of your flight there was a noticeable deviation in the battery of 0.15 which is a concern and if it was me I would not take flight if this was showing, sync your flight to dji cloud and start a case with dji I’m sure they will see more in your .dat file from the aircraft.

Hi M4VERICK8. I am sorry to know what happeded to your friends previous flight. Since this issue happened the best thing you need to do is to open a ticket by creating an online repair request using this link https://repair.dji.com/repair/index. Please sync the flight records as well for further analysis on what happened to that flight.

Better ask DJI for support in this malfunction. Motor #1 and 2 were disconnected during flight, guess a double ESC failure.
In the video you can see (i think) that an blade is not spinning....

I have seen many flight with cell deviations > 150 mV between cells, and they did not fell out of the sky....So imo i do not think that this has something to do with the esc failure, at that time it was 42 mV.

I’ve noticed that too. What caught my attention was that message in red. But, what really does it mean cell deviation?

Thx jjbspark for your opinion, I trust your judgment. I’ve noticed the propeller wasn’t spinning. What about the motors? Where did you see it? Was in the log file?

While we don’t know what happened here and I wouldn’t rule out battery problem, no one should take off when deviation is at .15v and I think you will find that dji would not recommend this and for those you have seen with higher values of deviation they should also be advised to land and change battery.

Maybe the prop became unlocked from the motor.?

Don`t think so. If unlocked the prop would 'fly' away from your drone and not stay attached and fall down with your drone. (see the pitch and roll angles when falling, a loose prop would not stay attached)
Just my 2 cents...
