I took my phantom 3 out for its first flight today and absolutely loved it. Quick question though - some of my still photos have a crooked horizon. Other shots are pretty good though. How can I fix this?

Did you try adjusting the Gimbal Roll at all?  I had to do this a couple of times whilst recording video.

Do I do that before takeoff or during flight?

You can do it at any point, as long as the P3 and the controller/Pilot App are connected and running.  I adjusted mine while I was hovering at 300 feet.  :-)

I've found even with gimbal calibration the horizon will wander mid flight and then pop back level. Hopefully it'll be fixed in a firmware as its reported widely. In the mean time Adobe Lightroom does a really good job at auto levelling the horizon and failing that you can adjust it yourself.

You also have the lens distortion of course which is more of a wave than a barrel but again that can be fixed in post.
