Hello. How can i set the altitude when the phantom broke signal to return home? Thank you.

MC Settings ( click top left next to home button )> Advanced Settings > Failsafe Mode > "Go Home Altitude"

Remember to buy extra propellers and one or two spare batteries to keep you flying

My RTH altitude stays at 50M where I set it the first time. Is this unusual? I would hate to know I forgot to set it and I smacked a tree at control signal loss.

I thought that setting the RTH altitude should be higher than any surrounding buildings, trees or other near obstacles, that may interfere with its return flight?
If 50M in height is your safe zone, then Sir, there should be no problem.

RTH height setting is stored in the drone EEPROM.

So, yes, it will stay set to the same value between flights.

Yeah. I fly in the country usually and don't have high buildings or trees. Guess it could get me if I moved to the city and came across a taller building. I better rethink that. Thanks guys.
