This is my 4th Mavic and this thing is a beast(so are my MP and MPP), still not sure about the Mavic Air.

Well done! but you have to look at “distance” and not “flight distance”
Flight distance is your total flight not one way.

I think that is the distance one way the picture shows mode go home at that distance

No, because the aircraft did not fly exactly in a straight line.
So distance is always the distance to the remote and flight distance is the total distance that the drone has flown.

Look to the right it shows distance which is 210799 feet and flight distance is 21124 feet

Yes and that means that the distance at that exact moment between the drone and the remote was21079.7 ft.
And the total flight distance up to that point was 21124.8ft.
I hope that makes it clear for you.
Check your own flight logs, you will see what I mean.
Look at the distance at the end of the flight, you will see distance is the distance that the drone is to you at that moment,
And flight distance is what you have flown on that flight in total.

That is straight enough for a mavic 2 pro, it didn't go left or right.

Yea I know, I saw the log. But there’s always wind that you have to take into consideration. That’s basically what makes the difference between “distance” and “flight distance”

That is if you fly directly in front of you, but going only up and not forward, does that add to flight distance??

Thank you! Upon return I still had 34% battery left and thinking I could have gone another 2000 ft more, ive flown around another 8000ft upon return until It was 10% down.  I will shoot for the full 5 miles next time.

I've done 33,500 ft (6.3 miles)  (round trip on single battery) with the MP but man, not gonna lie, I was sweating...landed somewhere else with 9%.

If you still had 34% battery left, that's totally BEAST mode then.
