OK so after doing a lot of thinking, I've pulled the trigger. I just purchased the Inspire 1 V2.0 with the Zenmuse x3 4K Camera. I hope it's a good addition to my fleet. Now the wait begins!

Many congrats. I bought mine from a UK DJI dealer back at the end of July this year - I've so far enjoyed 79 flawless flights and covered 1.75m feet in more than 19 hours of flight time hitting speeds of 82.3MPH - it is an amazing drone. Absolutely no regrets. Recommend you get a few TB48's and another charger with some ND filters for the X3 when you can.

Good for you - won't be long Make sure to do some research as things like the FW update is old school using the micro SD card and zip files you download (not over WiFi). Don't forget that you'll need the original GO app too and not GO 4 - though you've got/had the P3P so you'll know the score.

Should be here Friday. I've been doing my homework although I might pick your brain for a while and anyone else with one. I still have all five of my others and still do all the updates. If the weather holds off this coming weekend I'll take them all out for some fun.

The last FW update for the I1 series was in July 2017. I upgraded to that on day 1 and have no issues at all - no more FW updates after the first one too. I also noticed that the X3 records 1080p at 120fps, 2.7K at 30p and you can adjust the ISO to 25600 using the gimbal dial in manual settings and it has a x2 digital zoom - all updates from FW since the original release.
Ensure to update the FW on the drone/camera first (with the RC switched off) then update the RC over WiFi in the app or you'll have to downgrade the FW on the drone and do it all again. Once all the updates are done turn on the RC first, then the drone and finally connect the lightning cable and launch the app in that order and you won't get any transmission issues either (I have video cache switched off on my iPad Mini 4 too). Little things I've picked up along the way.

I found it a bit glitchy until I tuned off the video cache and the transmission is perfect now and has been for the past 50 odd flights.

I had to do that when I first connected my P4P. All the rest work great. I still use my iPad mini3 for my P3P.  So many toys and not enough time

I know that you mean - I had a clear out earlier this year and basically sold the lot after buying the I1 - now I focus everything on that. X5 next

Z3 4K optical zoom camera, micro four third systems and even a thermal imaging system, focus wheels, dual controls - it goes on! You def need to draw a line and get what you need. A full on Inspire 2 X7 set up can reach £30,000 - with ONE drone...

All around the corner mate - just enjoy what is coming on Friday. The X3 is surprisingly an excellent little camera. Many on YT say the difference between it and the X5 is minimal.

The sensor - X5 is 8 times bigger being a M4/3 so better photos (16mp vs 12.4mp) and low light performance - £1,699 though - pricey for the slight improvement. Prices will drop soon I'm sure.

Price drops are good. I'll see how the X3 performs and go from there.

X5 is better with the option of swap-able lens but it is also a lot bigger and heavier so kills the flight time by about half. I grabbed one though when i saw it for sale at $800 shipped couldnt pass the deal

You will love it. Just buy some extra batteries as flight times are a bit less than the latest machines. I have an Inspire 1 Pro. I love the X5. I enjoy just flying it about.

4 battery in total buy the rapid 180w charger and the 4 battery hub.... or if you can source a good deal buy the Hex charger.

I ran the 180w with a hub and itll charge the batteries faster than standard stock 100w charger. the hex though a beast and does 6 at once. not series like the 4 hub
