Hi all,

I was wondering if the CSC stick combination really shut-off the motors of my Spark and MA in-flight.
Read somewehere that a CSC only works (close down the motors) if the drone has severe failures in flight.
Reverse thinking: a good flying drone cannot shut down in-flight by a CSC stick action.

Well, see my video for the answer.

cheers
JJB

I think there is an option in the "settings" to shut off, should be sellected to activate CSC command.

I was always under the assuption that the CSC would shut down the motors in flight should the need arise

It does on some DJI drones (like a Phantom 4).

It will on the P4P mate - I don't think it does on the toys.

Understand that Suren, but who knows for sure that it will work on other DJI models??

Don`t we all think we can handle anything when the sh*t hits the fan and for sure never do a CSC inflight?

From the following video, the CSC does both shutoff and restart Mavic Pro's motors while it is in air.

I think only way to test is to try crashinginto a tree or impede one of the motors. Manual is the same for P4Pro and Mavic Air, different for P4 , one of the biggest causes of crashing or craft falling out of the sky on P3 was CSC both sticks down, dji changed to RTH and left stick down with P3pro or P4 I’m not certain which one because didn’t own p3pro, and then changed to what we know now with Mavic Pro both sticks to the corners but only in an emergency, so stopped it from working when Aircraft was working fine, but if Aircraft is tumbling Aircraft is in emergency so should work then or motor is obstructed, P4Pro Mavic Air M2 all Now use this failsafe.

Yeah, 93 next April and her husband is 97 - they've been married over 70 years and she is the longest reigning monarch in British and English history and the oldest living and longest serving head of state in the world - gotta respect that.

I used to call about once every week or so. I install phone systems and that was a great number to call to test international calling. She'd answer and I'd claim I had dialed a wrong number or  ask what hours the public areas were open that day or something like that.  Then one of my idiot co-workers made the test call and actually told her why he was calling, she got mad and said to never call again or she'd complain to the US Embassy. So since then we've been calling time and temperature in Melbourne.
