iPhone or iPad?
As far as DJI GO, it runs the same. But on iPad, your clock goes to the left which might be a big deal. Otherwise, it is an overall stability update & code minimizing. You’ll actually gain some storage space back!

I've been running iOS 12.1 since it was released. All has been going well for me.

Hi RobertW. I'm also an Apple developer and run constantly on the latest beta versions as well. So currently that is version iOS 12.1.1 beta 3 from 2 days ago. No problem what so ever on the iPhones. Can't judge the iPad since I never use that in combination with DJI. Hope this helps.

12.1 works fine for me

There appears to be no issues with iOS 12.1  and the DJI GO apps - it's quite safe to update!

If it's working now this error has been from iOS not Dji Go.

Same here been running 12.1 without issues.

Yes dont do it. If your kit is working ok as it is why would you risk it. Perhaps to get somthing you dont know you havnt got.

If it aint broke dont fix it...... Very simple rule to follow

I upgraded both iOS and DJI Go 4 app. I noticed a lot more error messages like motor speed warnings, blank camera on initialisation and other issues. Hasn’t affected flying, but editor is much slower and gives questionable results. I would roll back if I could.

This error is iOS only but I'm on Android. This error has been around for few months.
If everything works you get the same picture as in post #8 and then the message that your
home point has been updated.
If the error is still around you get this message:

There is no need to take off for testing this.
Your AC just need to get GPS but your iOS device need good GPS signal.
After your AC has got GPS just walk few meters away and reset the home point to device.

I was getting this error on my iPhone 6S plus, so I tried resetting the GPS on iPhone, and all appears to work now.

Try the following and then try setting home point to RC location (after letting it acquire GPS):-


Open your phone Settings > Privacy > Location Services and toggle the switch OFF.

Perform a hard reset on your iPhone. To do so: On iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6 or 6S: Hold the lock and home buttons until you see the Apple logo. ...

Go back to phone Settings > Privacy > Location Services once again and toggle the switch ON.
