Hello everyone,

So this happened las friday:

30% battery warning, 300m away, set return home, when it was right above me lost connection for a few seconds, tried steering it manually with no success, suddently started drifting backwards and losing altitute very fast, tried once more steering it back but it didn't work, kept drifting backwards until it crashed into a building behind me. I cannot find an explanation, looked at the flight record and it says the right stick on the remote was 18% set to going backwards but I wasn't touching it (18% for more than 30seconds stedily, which is almost nothing and too precise to be done by my hand I am sure is was some kind of a malfunction). Now I have a broken motor. What should I do?

Raise it with DJI support and obtain a ticket to return the drone to DJI under warranty. They will complete a professional diagnostic of the situation and assess whether or not it is covered under warranty (manufacturer defect and not pilot error). https://www.dji.com/service/repair?site=brandsite&from=nav

I did that already, but I am not sure if I should send the remote with it, since it might have been either the remote or the aircraft malfunction

They should advise you what needs to be returned - usually everything with the original package but best to check with them.
