Its a full scale replica of a Curtiss JN-3 on a 20 foot pylon. Built back in the early 1970's.

The desert has taken its toll on the old girl. The wooden frame is collapsing and the flying wires are broken. I'm surprised it lasted this long. I tried manual camera settings and removed a nuetral density filter I was using earlier.
Its mostly covered in copper sheathing.

Nice POI.  I saw that plane at the Columbus, NM airport 10-12 years ago.  Didn't look much better back then.  I'm sure it will just buff right out back to new!

     Nice video, good start.  POI is a very useful flight mode.  Please note if you point the camera directly across the flight circle and at a somewhat higher altitude, you can get a near perfect panorama video.  As others nave noted, you can control the speed, etc. with different radii, besides the slider.
