Here's a 360 Pano of the Lighthouse of La Coubre (French West Coast) that i did with my Mavic Pro. I hope you'll like it :

Edit : i'm adding a map illustrating the lighthouse's location, just in case one would like to better understand the global location and the bay you can see behind the lighthouse...

Are you stuck in the app on your smartphone?
Did not try to glue the processed raw photos?
Very good base and you should get a great 200 megapixel panorama-360 ...

Thanks for your answer Alexei.

Yep, i indeed seemed to be stucked with this pano stitched through DJIGo4 app, as i tried stitching the pictures through several other softwares with unfortunately no go.
I previously had other panos that i could succesfully stitch with other softs (ICE, Kolor, DJI Media Maker...), but for some reasons, that specific one is always failing :/

FYI, i shot this pano with manual exposure, but through JPGs (ie not raw DNG files).

See below previews before stitching that specific failing pano, and showing the issues due to many missing parts on each sides of the result :

- with Kolor AutoPano :

Kolor AutoPano

Kolor AutoPano

- same problem with MS ICE (note that the final auto-complete for missing part didn't produced any good result) :

ICE

ICE

- it also failed with DJI Media Maker, although it apparently could fill the missing parts, but with so much differences on left and right that the joined portion was definitely no good :

DJI Media Maker

DJI Media Maker

- here a screenshot of the specific joining part failure (with DJI Media Maker) in a 360 window preview :

100-0614_Failed.jpg

I also tried stitching with Photoshop but won't even show the results as it was really messed up  and not usable at all !

So this is why, at the end, i had to use the poor resolution file stitched through DJI Go App 4 after, of course, fixing the 2:1 aspect ratio and also adding some color corrections. And of course, i guess color grading to a yet highly compressed and already processed file could not produce a huge quality result in terms of
definition/resolution...

Thanks also for your tuto link related to stitching, that i actually already viewed recently. I must though admit i'm not an expert in this whole stitching process, especially when you start with a weird base ^^

If you have any idea of why the stitching could fail, i'd really be interested in knowing

And if it can help, i'm also adding the final files i used :

- the original file (1,6 Mb / 4096 x 2048) generated through DJI Go App 4 :

DJI Go App 4

DJI Go App 4

- the final file i uploaded to SkyPixel after re-processing the sky + color grading :

DJI Go App 4 improved

DJI Go App 4 improved

Strange thing is that it seems all softs but DJI Go 4 processed the files with having the lighthouse in the center, when DJI Go 4 put it in the left part of the picture (thus making the joining part in the forest and not in the sea)

A known problem and I have come across it more than once. Programs are buggy if the images are very uniform. And they (programs) have nothing to catch on. Among other things, the waves do not wait. And in each frame they are in a new place ...
What am I doing in this case (Autopano Giga):
- press add frames
- I choose everything
- after this, all frames that have not been added (skipped by the program) earlier are grouped at one point in the center. But everything that has already been posted remains in place.
- further - either by the signs of compliance, or by frame numbers - we put frames in their places. Atleast approximately.
- sequentially, for each frame separately - enter the "control points", choose the not yet attached frame and the frame side by side, but which already has a binding. Specify the common for two frames (not tied and tied) points. It is better to tie the horizon - then it is smooth. With waves worse - do not tie them in any way
Good luck!

these problems take a lot of time. Even if you have already figured out the sequence of actions.
Therefore, if the picture is worth it - good luck! Otherwise, it is better to do what you had before - to glue the smartphone in the application.
If there are problems, I will be happy to help!

Great 360.
Thanks for posting the problems you had.
Recently my  last 360 would not stitch correctly in I.C.E.. I believe it couldn't find a starting point. Ended up stitching in DJI media maker which worked fine.

Thanks B1houdini. I indeed read your story and already replied a few days ago here (maybe you've missed it).

Unfortunately, DJI Media Maker couldn't better handle this specific pano than any other softs i tried, thus why i could only work with the one generated through DJI Go 4 :/
