Hi there, thanks for the inquiry. Just want to clarify, are we talking about the MCC-type C and B and MCC-Multi USB? The MCC type C and B enable control of cameras installed with a Type-B/Type-C port via the Ronin-S Camera Control Button, giving you access to functions like photo taking, parameter configuration, and more. While Multi-Camera Control Cable (Multi-USB) use to connect your Sony camera to the Ronin-S Camera Control Port. The Ronin-S Camera Control Button can be used to control the shutter, autofocus, and recording process. Should you have further question, please let us know. Thank you.

Pretty pathetic that I just asked technical support the same question on the phone and was told "I don't know. My screen says mcc multi for Sony"

Guys, I'm seriously confused. I have the Sony A9 paired with the Ronin-S using the MCC micro USB cable plugged into the multi port. I am able to control the start/stop record button and the focus ring. I want to be able to take motion time lapses with the above gear but the MCC micro USB cable does not trigger the shutter of the A9. I've been told that the MCC-B cable will take care of this. Is the MCC-B cable also micro USB? And does it connect into the multiport of the A9? Or is it mini USB and able to connect to the HDMI port on the A9? Look forward to hearing from you guyg

Thanks

How did you get the a9 to communicate with the Ronin S? I spent two days trying to connect them, without result. Neither the IR cable nor the USB seem too work, I am about to send the Ronin back. Grateful for any advice.
