I loaded a test mission today and the bird flew it better than I planned it. I don't know why the Litchi app didn't save my camera settings. For whatever reason it went back to 24p by default. Grrr. Kept the POI on the old Jenny.

We're giving away our age.

Update: I really do have a new tablet. Got it delivered this morning. I know its not newer tech, but its a shiny thing and I had to put it in my nest. Samsung Galaxy S2. I loaded Litchi and it hooked up as soon as I signed in. The screen is much brighter than the old Tab 10.1and its lighter.
This will be a dedicated drone tablet. I'll Keep DJI go on the smart phone.

     Good approach!  Litchi is a lot of fun.  My problem over here is the altitude with these cliffs and mountains - how well can you trust the Google Earth measurements?  Other than that, there are so many different ways you can run missions.  My latest effort was for mapping.  It turns out that we can make giant photos of a grid of smaller photos stitched together by Microsoft's Free Image Composite Editor.  You have to do it right though.

     Let the fun begin!

     It sure looks like it!  Be careful if you ever decide to fly in the mountains and set up your flight route on the computer at home though.

     One thing about Litchi is a lot of the options for the maneuvers are not easily discernable.  Click on all the menus, tabs and buttons, etc., to see what is available.  There is some pretty wicked stuff there and it is a lot of fun to play with, but you cannot always see it.

Absolutely right. Its a powerful program but surprisingly easy to use. I'm still wandering through it.
