I really want to be able to hike my Inspire into the backcountry without looking like a drug mule with a ginormous box strapped to my back.  I thought about the various hiking packs I've used and honed in on the Osprey Variant series.  Comes in both 37L and 52L.  It has an expandable pouch on the back for your climbing helmet.
I ordered the smaller size in black.  On Amazon: Osprey Variant 37 Osprey Variant 52 or there is probably one down at your local used gear place

My Inspire slips in nicely and this pack carries well.  For bad weather, I slip on a Zpacks cuben fiber pack cover

Have you tried loading other gear into the pack for a day trip or longer, plus all the stuff for the inspire?  I ask because I also went down this path and tried several packs I already had. A couple worked pretty well, but decided I likely wouldn’t be happy with it in real life. I decided to go with the lowepro. The price is actually quite good considering what you get.

Anyway, thanks for posting and link. It might be the cats meow for someone.

Yeah its not bad with all the stuff and a jacket and so on but at some point, you'll want the 52L version

So more of essentials than a full kit. Still easier than hand carrying and more ideal for longer walks by the look of it.

I guess the main thing I didn’t like was the legs wrapping towards the front. I could avoid hitting them with my arms while just trying out my packs, but didn’t like them in my way when hiking.
I agree it loads perfectly on a backpack that way, versus legs pointing out/back. Even though this way the legs are pointing away from your arms and also less likely to snag on hedge toads (or twigs)

I agree with A CW that it sure beats the case or hand carrying for anything over very short distance.

Anyway, enough from me. Enjoy yours!!! Best.

Awesome. I may drop by REI and pick up one of these as well unless Amazon has them cheaper. Thank you.

I could never go for a normal backpack - what do you guys do to protect your remotes , all the batteries and accessories from banging at each other all day long ? The LowePro Inspire backpack
looks kind of nice but my choice stays the original Inspire case strapped to a frame backpack like this:  https://www.amazon.de/Tatonka-La ... SU/ref=cts_sp_1_vtp
- these are very light weight and meant to be carried around all day ...

They show 6 batteries and only 1 remote in ads. 2nd remote might be doable if you’re inspired enough.

Amazon shows lots of photos of compartments. And free shipping and on sale for $150. !

I think it’s a 6 of one and half dozen of other. Depends on WX, and how far you going and how long. If max protection is a priority I’d choose dji case.

Nice we have choices.

I ended up going with this the last time I took the I2 hiking...Zpacks Arc Blast pack.  We came back down in a  whiteout and I slipped their Cuben Fiber pack cover over everything

I’m able to get Cendence and normal remote, Crystal sky, X5S plus an extra lens (could probably fit a few more), 8 batteries, iPad, cords, etc needed for everything. Weighs in at just under 30 lbs. 20ABF9E0-F3A1-46EB-B2A3-BC06969F9C7F.jpeg
